Cheech Marin has built a career that spans comedy, film, and world-class art collecting. His path is anything but conventional - a multi-generational talent known for humor, sharp perspective, and creative range. Widely recognized as one half of the iconic, irreverent duo Cheech and Chong, he remains a singular figure in entertainment.

Today, Cheech is also celebrated as a leading advocate for Chicano art. Beginning in the mid-1980s, he cultivated what is now considered one of the most significant private collections of its kind. As he has said, “Chicano art is American art,” with a mission to elevate its place within the broader art world.

In this live appearance, Cheech reflects on his journey from counterculture icon to founder of The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture in Riverside, California, sharing insights on the importance of representation, preservation, and the evolving role of Chicano art in contemporary culture.
