About Us

History

The Victoria Gardens Cultural Center (VGCC) opened in 2006 and remains a beacon of entertainment for the Rancho Cucamonga community with live performances, community events, and education! VGCC is home to the Paul A. Biane Library, now featuring the Second Story and Beyond, an interactive, immersive discovery space, Celebration Hall with nearly 4,500 square feet of meeting and banquet space, and the state-of-the-art Lewis Family Playhouse, a 560-seat performing arts theatre.

This $33.8 million project was the design of award-winning architects WLC/Pitassi Architects, Inc. Construction of this incredible City project has been accomplished without the use of any City of Rancho Cucamonga's General Fund through a $7.8 million State Library Grant, $5.7 million partnership with Victoria Gardens regional town center Developer Forest City, private partnerships, Community Development Block Grant funds, and Redevelopment Agency Tax Allocation Bond Funds. The Victoria Gardens Cultural Center and the Lewis Family Playhouse are owned and operated by the city of Rancho Cucamonga.

For nearly two decades, artists from the community and across the globe have brought engaging, impactful, and joyful entertainment to the residents of Rancho Cucamonga and beyond. Whether you enjoy live music, hilarious comedy, inspiring theatrical productions, or anything in between, the Lewis Family Playhouse continues its history of providing joy for audiences!

Mission

Recognizing that the arts create stronger communities and provide life-long benefits, the Lewis Family Playhouse is a dynamic performing arts center that educates, entertains, and ignites the imagination through high-quality theatrical experiences for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
